Hi everyone,
My name’s Kes, I’m an author, ecologist and community organiser and I’m really excited about this new project!

I’ve been running workshops and giving keynotes on subjects such as queer ecology and nature connection for years and these subjects have been a central part of my novels as well. I’ve been engaged in activism of one kind or another since the 90s, focusing particularly on the intersections of class, queerness and environmental defence as well as growing radical alternatives to the oppressions of capitalism.

For the last two years I’ve been hard at work on a book - my first full non-fiction work - which is coming together and keeping me up at night. I’m in love. And I’m impatient. And so this new project begins…

What is it?

This will be a selection of short pieces from the upcoming book exploring, for example, queer liberation, environmental defence and learning from our ecosystems. I have a feeling it will grow into its own little thing and I’m dreaming of all the possibilities.

Will there be guest posts and cross-pollination? Will there be pdf newsletters with practical stuff for people to print out and distribute at their local community centre? Will we find new ways together to make these important subjects accessible to more people outside of academia or activist bubbles?

Let’s find out…

p.s. I also have a general newsletter with stories, updates on my work and resources.
